History of Avalon
Based on hearsays, Avalon was named after the mythical Avalon, where King Arthur had finally rested.
In 1827, 60 acres of the land area was awarded to John Farrel. And in 1833, Father John Joseph Therry acquired 400- acre of land and latter built a church.
In 1921, Arthur J Small developed a subdivision and named it Avalon.
