It opened on April 4 1963 with 53 operating stores during the first day.
History of Warringah Mall
The development of the Warringah Mall was pioneered by the Hammerson Group in 1963. It opened with 53 stores including the Nick and Kirby, Woolworths, H.G Palmer, and the David Jones.
The Mall became known after it was featured on the BMX movie casted by Angelo D’ Angelo, James Lugton, and Nicole Kidman.
Grace Brothers opened in 1973. During the mid-80’s, Warringah Mall became bigger and more established with the coming of a new Target Store and 20 specialty stores.
It expanded on December 1999 with the inclusion of 90 new stores, cinemas, food court, and specialty shops.
