History of Terry Hills
The suburb of Terry Hills is a semi-rural, leafy area, where majority of the residents’ board horses as a form of transportation during the early days.
It’s named was derived from the two land holders, Obediah James Terry and Samuel Hills who both acquired a large portion of land in 1881.
It was found out that Aboriginal people have settled in the locality due to existing rock carvings that shows human figures, kangaroos, and foot prints.
The first Post Office in Terry Hills opened in June 1935.
