Davidson is a humble suburb located north of Sydney, Australia. It nestles 12 miles from the region’s central business district under the local government of the Northern Beaches Council.
The town was considered as the smallest suburb in the forest district. It is a quiet and isolated residential area with bush walks, parks, and beautiful views and destinations around.
History of Davidson
The suburb’s name was derived from the New South Wale’s governor, Walter Davidson, who started mining quarry and residential improvements in 1970. He was granted with a community park in 1923 and became the muse for the suburb’s name.
The town sits close to Frenchs Forest and Belrose suburbs, and nestles nearby the Garigal National Park, which was the center of a bushfire that threatens the suburb in 1994.
There were 2,417 residents in the Davidson based on the 2011 census. 32.7% of the population is English and 26.8% are Australian natives.
